Every person’s needs, routines, and goals are different. Shirley’s Angels Home Care offers four core non-medical services that can be coordinated around the individual’s authorized care needs, preferred schedule, and daily life.

Attendant Care
Attendant Care provides hands-on assistance with personal activities and everyday routines while promoting safety, comfort, dignity, and as much independence as possible.
Common areas of support:
- Bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
- Mobility, transfers, positioning, and walking assistance
- Meal support, reminders, and daily routines
- Companionship and safety-focused supervision

Homemaker Services
Homemaker Services help individuals maintain a cleaner, safer, and more comfortable home when household responsibilities become difficult to manage independently.
Common areas of support:
- Light housekeeping and household organization
- Laundry and changing bed linens
- Meal planning and preparation
- Grocery shopping and essential errands

Structured Family Care
Structured Family Care may allow an eligible family member or trusted caregiver to provide approved daily support at home while receiving compensation, training, and continued agency guidance.
Common areas of support:
- Familiar care from someone the individual trusts
- Caregiver screening, onboarding, and training
- Personalized service planning
- Continued agency guidance and support

Transportation
Non-medical Transportation helps eligible individuals safely access essential destinations and remain connected to their communities.
Common transportation needs:
- Medical and healthcare appointments
- Grocery shopping and essential errands
- Pharmacy and prescription pickup
- Approved community activities
Available services depend on individual needs, program eligibility, authorization, requested schedule, service location, and caregiver availability.

NON-MEDICAL HOME CARE
Everyday Support That Makes Life at Home Easier
Our caregivers help with the personal routines and household activities that can become difficult because of age, disability, injury, or limited mobility. Support is provided respectfully and organized around the individual’s approved needs, preferences, and goals.

Ways Home Care Services May Be Paid For
The right payment option depends on the individual’s eligibility, enrollment, authorized services, and personal circumstances. Shirley’s Angels accepts several Indiana Medicaid and LTSS programs, along with private-pay arrangements.

Authorized home and community-based support may be available for eligible older adults enrolled in Indiana PathWays for Aging.

Eligible individuals with disabilities may receive approved home and community-based services through Indiana’s Health & Wellness Waiver.

Shirley’s Angels works with Anthem, Humana, and UnitedHealthcare for approved Long-Term Services and Supports.

Individuals and families may arrange and pay directly for services based on their needs, requested schedule, location, and caregiver availability.

What is the difference between Attendant Care and Homemaker Services?
Attendant Care focuses primarily on personal activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility, transfers, meal support, and daily routines. Homemaker Services focus on household responsibilities such as light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, organization, shopping, and essential errands.
Can someone receive more than one type of service?
Possibly. An individual may qualify for multiple services depending on their assessed needs, program enrollment, approved service plan, authorization, and applicable program requirements.
Does Medicaid cover Shirley’s Angels home care services?

Can a family member or trusted person provide the care?

Is Transportation available as a standalone service?

Do Shirley’s Angels caregivers provide medical care?
